This study is testing an investigational drug to determine whether it can help the body better access and use iron. Researchers think it may affect how iron is absorbed from the gut and how stored iron is made available for red blood cell production and other normal body functions.
Join our clinical trial
Iron is an essential mineral that helps the body make healthy red blood cells, which carry oxygen to your organs and muscles. Some people do not absorb enough iron from food, or their bodies may not be able to use stored iron effectively. This can contribute to iron deficiency and anaemia.
This study is testing an investigational drug to determine whether it can help the body better access and use iron. Researchers think it may affect how iron is absorbed from the gut and how stored iron is made available for red blood cell production and other normal body functions. This early-stage study is designed to learn more about the safety of the study drug, how the body processes it, and how it may affect iron-related blood tests. The information from this study may help guide the future development of treatments for iron-related conditions and anaemias.
Before joining, you’ll receive detailed information about the study, meet with a doctor, and have the chance to ask any questions.
