Chronic pancreatitis is a serious disease that causes ongoing inflammation and damage to the pancreas. People living with this condition often experience severe abdominal pain, digestive difficulties, and other long-term health complications. Current treatment options focus mainly on managing symptoms, and there remains a significant need for new therapies that may help slow or prevent disease progression.
This Phase 1 research study is investigating CBT-248, a novel investigational medicine being developed for chronic pancreatitis. By taking part as a healthy volunteer, you can play an important role in helping researchers understand the safety and pharmacokinetics of this potential future treatment. The knowledge gained from this study may contribute to the future clinical development of CBT-248 for patients affected by chronic pancreatitis.
Your participation could help shape the future of treatment for this underserved condition.
Join our clinical trial
This is a first-in-human (FIH) study, meaning it is the first time the potential treatment is being tested in people. The study has been carefully designed with strict safety protocols and has been approved by an independent ethics committee. As with any investigational medicine, there may be side effects that are currently unknown, including potentially serious side effects. The study includes safety monitoring and predefined procedures to review participant safety throughout the study. You will be provided with prompt treatment if any such effects occur.
Before joining, you’ll receive detailed information about the study, meet with a doctor, and have the chance to ask any questions.
