The study drug is a new medicine being developed to potentially treat people living with moderate to severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
IBD is a long-term condition that causes swelling and irritation in the digestive system. The two main types are Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. People with IBD often experience flare-ups, where symptoms get worse for a while and then improve.
This new medication is designed to calm down the overactive immune response in the gut by targeting several of the processes that lead to inflammation. By doing this, the treatment may help break the ongoing cycle of flare-ups and discomfort.
By taking part, you’re helping researchers create better treatments that are easier to use and designed just for patients like you. Your involvement could make a real difference for thousands of people worldwide. It’s a powerful way to support medical progress and leave a positive impact on many lives.
This is a first-in-human (FIH) study, meaning it is the first time the potential treatment is being tested in people. The study has been carefully designed with strict safety protocols and has been approved by an independent ethics committee.
Before joining, you’ll receive detailed information about the study, meet with a doctor, and have the chance to ask any questions.
