Dr Ofer Gonen is a specialist physician in Neurology, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). With a strong clinical foundation and a commitment to advancing neurological care, Dr Gonen brings a patient-focused and evidence-based approach to the diagnosis and management of complex neurological conditions.
He is certified in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), underwent subspecialty training in epilepsy, and holds a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Melbourne, focusing on advanced multimodal imaging in epilepsy research
Dr Gonen’s special areas of interest include:
· Neurodegenerative disorders
· Epilepsy and seizure management
· Neurostimulation and novel medical devices
· Clinical trials in neurology
Dr Gonen has served as the Principal Investigator of more than 30 first-in-human (phase I) clinical trials and has been a sub-investigator in more than 100 clinical trials, most of which were early-phase studies. He is actively involved in research and clinical trials, contributing to the development of innovative therapies and improved patient outcomes.
