Wrapping Up BIO 2025: Real Conversations, Global Momentum

That’s a wrap on BIO 2025 and what a week it was. From packed panel sessions to spontaneous hallway conversations, this year’s convention in Boston brought together some of the brightest minds and boldest ideas in global drug development.
For the Nucleus Network team, it was an energising few days filled with genuine connection, collaboration, and a shared focus on what matters most: moving promising therapies forward, faster.

What stood out this year?
From day one, the buzz around early-phase trials was unmistakable. Across dozens of meetings and events, three themes kept coming up:
- Speed still matters. But not at the expense of safety or quality. Sponsors are searching for trial partners who can move fast and deliver with precision.
- Australia and the US are a powerful combo. Global sponsors are increasingly choosing both regions for early trials. Seeking coordinated execution and data that supports future filings worldwide.
- The pressure is real. Biotechs are expected to show progress early. That means early-phase partners need to be flexible, credible, and ready to scale.
On the ground (and around the table)

We were proud to host a reception dinner with current and future partners, a relaxed chance to connect, reflect, and share what’s next. Big thanks to those who joined us for great conversation and great food.

Our leadership team, including Teena Pisarev (CEO), Dr. Graham Wood (CSO), Dr. Phil Ryan (Medical Director) and Chris Hickey (Chief BD Officer), spent the week in deep discussions with biotechs shaping the future of medicine.
We also tuned in at key events like the RESI Conference, the Australia Pavilion Networking Event, the BIO China Forum, and a powerful panel at the European Innovation Council Booth featuring voices from across the AUS/NZ ecosystem.

Looking ahead
At Nucleus Network, we’re proud to be part of a clinical research community that’s globally connected, deeply experienced, and committed to getting it right, from first dose to final report.
BIO 2025 reminded us that the work we do doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through partnership, trust, and a shared belief in better outcomes.

Thanks to everyone who made time for a meeting, a conversation, or even a quick hello. Let’s keep the momentum going to continue advancing medicine and improving lives.
