We are conducting a clinical trial to evaluate a new investigational treatment, in healthy participants. This study aims to assess the safety, tolerability, and how the body processes the medication under different conditions, including variations in food intake.
The investigational treatment is being developed as a potential future treatment for phenylketonuria (PKU), a genetic disorder that leads to the accumulation of phenylalanine (Phe) in the body. Phenylalanine is an amino acid found in many foods and is important for normal growth and development, but too much of it can be harmful for people with PKU.
Join our clinical trial
This is a Phase 1, first-in-human (FIH) study, meaning it is the first time this investigational treatment is being evaluated in humans. This clinical trial has been carefully designed to minimize risks for participants. Prior to participation, you will be provided with detailed information about the trial, its risks, and our mitigation strategies. You will also have an appointment with one of our doctors, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Why participate?
- Contribute to scientific research that may support the development of future treatment options for PKU.
- Help researchers understand how the investigational drug is absorbed and processed in the body.
- Play a key role in determining how factors like food intake may influence the drug’s effect
