Purpose: to evaluate the safety and tolerability of a potential new drug that could advance the treatment for chronic kidney disease.

• Check if AZD4248 is safe and well-tolerated when taken by healthy people and by people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and type 2 diabetes (T2D).
• Understand how the body absorbs, processes, and removes AZD4248 (this is called pharmacokinetics).
• Learn how AZD4248 affects the body (this is called pharmacodynamics).

Population:
Diagnosed with DKD (diabetic kidney disease) and currently taking an ARB or ACE medication
Study Duration
- Up to 2 screening appointment
- One inpatient stay of 14 nights and 15 days
- Outpatient Visit on Day 17 (+/- 2 days)
- 7 weeks
