Participate in a clinical study of a potential new treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. Donezepil has been approved as a treatment since the 90s – it does not cure Alzheimer’s, but it can improve memory and awareness.
It is taken daily as a pill, but many patients with Alzheimer’s have difficulty swallowing pills or remembering to take them. That is why scientists have developed a new version that is administered as a once-monthly injection.
The goal is to reduce the inconvenience of having to take a pill every day. Another potential benefit is that it may decrease side effects because there is a more stable dose of the medication in the body.
Why participate?
As a participant, you’ll receive the study medication and undergo assessments to monitor how your body responds. Your involvement will provide essential data that can help guide future research.
- Contribute to research that may support the development of new treatment options.
- Help researchers better understand how this investigational drug behaves in the body.
- Receive thorough health assessments and medical oversight throughout the study.
