The purpose of this study is to screen participants who have suspected or known elevated lipoprotein(a) - a type of fat similar to cholesterol
This study only involves one screening appointment. There is no inpatient stay and you will not receive any investigational drugs. However, this is a screening visit that will enable successful participants to join The Lipoprotein Study.
Lp(a) is a type of cholesterol in the blood that is linked to several heart and blood vessel problems. There is currently no approved treatment specifically for treating high Lp(a) levels.
The purpose is to identify participants with elevated levels of lipoprotein(a) or Lp(a). Participants with these elevated levels will be contacted for future clinical trials at Nucleus Network specifically for participants with elevated Lp(a).
