ALS is an untreatable, progressive, neurodegenerative (degeneration of the nervous system) disease specifically affecting both upper and lower motor neurons. While there are some treatments that can slightly delay the disease, there is an unmet need for more efficient treatment options. For this stage of the study, we are looking for healthy participants with no medical conditions, so we can understand how the medication is metabolised in a single dose. At a later stage, this treatment would be tested with people who have ALS.

This clinical trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee, and eligible participants will be reimbursed for their time.
