Spinal cord injury is often the result of an unpredictable accident and it could happen during daily activities or sporting events. When the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) is damaged, it cannot repair itself.

It is hoped that the study drug will enhance functional recovery in humans with spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis.

The trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee and eligible participants will be reimbursed for their time.
