The Inpatient Study
The purpose of this study is to investigate a potential new treatment for acute kidney injury. This is a common complication in people who are hospitalised or have undergone major surgery.

There are currently no specific treatments that can prevent acute kidney injury. Because this condition increases the risk of death and other serious health problems, it is important that treatments are developed to prevent acute kidney disease.
The trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee and eligible participants will be reimbursed for their time.

Biological Sex Healthy males or females
Age 18 - 55 years old
BMI 18 - 32 kg/m²
Medications Not taking any
Medical History No significant medical history
Smoking History No more than 10 cigarettes per day
